ALBENDAZOLE 2.5%


A broad spectrum anthelmintic indicated for the control of developing immature and mature stages of gastrointestinal roundworms, tapeworms, lungworms and adult liver fluke in cattle and sheep. Albendazole 2.5% is ovicidal against the fluke and roundworm eggs.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
Albendazole 25mg
Excipients up to 1ml.

INDICATIONS:
Sheep:
Roundworms: Ostertagia (against inhibited larvae), Haemonchus (Barber pole worm), Trichostrongylus (Small stomach worm), Nematodirus, Charbetia, Oesophasostomum.
Lungworms: Dictyocaulus filaria.
Tapeworm: Moniezia spp. (head and segments)
Adult liver flukes: Fasciola hepatica
Cattle:
Roundworms: Ostertagia (against inhibited larvae), Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Charbetia, Oesophasostcmum, Bunostomum (Hookworm), inhibited larvae of Cooperia (Small intestinal worm), Strongyloides spp.
Lungworms: Dictyocaulus filaria.
Tapeworm: Moniezia spp.
Adult liver flukes: Fasciola hepatica

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Recommended dose rate of7.5mg-15mg of Albendazole per kg body weight.
Sheep and goats: Gastro-intestinal worms, lungworms, tapeworms: 1.5-2 ml./l0kg. b.w
Liver flukes: 2-3 ml./l0kg. b.w. (large liver fluke), 4ml.110kg .b.w. (small liver fluke)
Cattle/camel: Gastro-intestinal worms, lungworms tapeworms: 15ml./ 50kg b. w
Liver flukes: Cattle: 20ml./50kg. b.w. (Fasciola hepatica) 30ml. /50kg. b.w.(F gigantica, F Magna, Paramphistoma).
